"wag mo akong pamemewangin!"
LOL! Read on.
So my Thesis woes is finally over, and I've been going back and forth UST just to fix my stupid graduation papers.
First off, the registrar tells me that my prof made a mistake on the completion form--so I had to go back to my prof and ask for another one. Next thing I know, the registrar tells me to come back on Friday (it was a Tuesday). Hindi ako mapalagay, so as early as Thursday, I went back. Napasa niya na raw yung papers ko pero hindi pa raw dumarating dun sa Eng'g office... so they let me pay for the grad fees na since on the way na ang papers ko. Then again, I had to check back and make sure so I'll call next Wednesday (tomorrow).
The next day, Friday (21st), was the Baccalaureate mass. With all this, I'm with Jayson (Larin), a friend of mine whom also finished his thesis just now. Nadelay rin kasi yung thesis ni Jayson kasi completely na nag-give up yung thesis mates niya, so he had to go solo. Lupet! So I was encouraging him all year to finish it para sabay kami mag-march!
Hahaha! jk!
So back to the story, sinamahan ko si Jayson pabalik ng Eng'g office to fix his papers... Boom! Natyempuhan namin yung DEAN and ASSISTANT DEAN!
I forgot to mention that our very own Eng'g Building have very strict regulations regarding LONG HAIR. And mine was shoulder length. And the DEAN and ASSISTANT DEAN are two of the strictest implementers of the "long hair" rule. Shit.
So inipit kami. Magpagupit daw muna kami ni Jayson bago namin makuha yung mga papers namin for grad! Grabe. And what's funny is that Jayson doesn't even have LONG hair! Haha! In my case, maiintidihan ko, kasi nga ang haba na talaga ng buhok ko--and I was planning to cut it talaga before graduation day. lol
So off we go to SM San Lazaro for Bench Fix. Grabe, puno raw! I reminded Jayson na merong Bench Fix sa may Dapitan (just past McDo) so we went there instead. After an hour, we got our haircut! And I have to say that I liked mine, thanks to the stylist Miss Christine, who fondly calls the haircut as "Country Life"! Honestly, I don't know if she's just shitting me! Haha! Yung style kasi is yung very short, pero may long bangs... akala ko EMO ang tawag ko dun. I asked her about it, so she differentiated the two haircuts (emo and country life)! Haha!
So anyhoo, we went back to the Eng'g Office to get our medals, pins, candles, and whatever. And you know what?
Of course I was disappointed. Parang total makeover talaga just for the damn graduation. All I want is a little complement (and of course, their approval! haha). But no, pinagsabihan pa ako.
Now, you might be wondering what the title of this blog post is about. Well yun nga, habang pinagsasabihan ako, I tried to reason out--POLITELY, I must add. Everyone can attest that I'm a very polite person, specially if I'm talking to my professors, superiors, etc. My profs and friends can attest to that.
So the other student worker started looking for the medals in relation to my course. Si Jayson nahanapan na. Yung akin pala, out of stock! Nagulat ako nung nagkamalay ako, so medyo nautal utal ako... tapos yun, bigla akong sinabihan:
"Wag mo akong pamemewangin ah!", in a very taray way! Haha
She replied, "Kahit na.. wag mo akong pamemewangin!"
Tapos after a while, kinalabit ako ni Jayson: "Ibaba mo kasi yan! Naka-pamewang ka eh!"
Hahahaha!
Yun pala yun, naka-"pamewang" ako! As in, nakalagay yung dalawang kamay ko sa waist ko! :))
Haha.
So yun, medyo bad shot ata ako. So to Ma'am/officer, sorry if I offended you. Medyo naging habit ko kasi yun pag nakatayo ako, same with cross arms, and with cross legs when I'm sitting. :)
It's all a big misunderstanding. Sorry if I offended, just didn't know that it was a bad gesture! ;p
So after that, we proceeded to the field for the Baccalaureate Mass. Haha! Nung nakita nga ako, sinenyasan pa ako ng pataray (although pa-joke, i think! hahaha!).
About the Bac. Mass/Ceremony, this is the 2nd one I attended. I also attended the 2006 one--our batch. I even had pictures of Ed and the rest during the 2006 ceremony. Nung 2006 kasi, Mark and I decided to drink our woes away during the Bac. Mass. Nadelay kasi si Maki kasi sa isang badtrip na subject which he didn't deserve to fail. So uminom nalang kami sa may Dapitan.
And this year was no different. There were awesome fireworks! Also, Jayson and I marched to the arc of the century for one last time. I'm not a fan of cheesy-ness, but this moment is symbolic for me--that I'm finally over with this school. :)
After the long ceremony which lasted 'til 10pm, Jayson and I decided to go home. Eh promise ko mag-celebrate kami kasi natapos na namin ang Thesis sa wakas.. yun pala may party rin siyang pupuntahin, which he invited me to. Birthday ni Cherri, yung classmate niya and schoolmate namin. I know Cherri too kasi nagkikita rin kami dati nung pumapasok pa kami. So sumama ako. Sa may Makati pala.. sa Jupiter St., malapit kung saan rin yung Fiama where Che always seems to celebrate at! Haha!
So we drove all the way to Makati, buti nalang hindi traffic sa Quiapo. Quiapo day raw eh. I was also running out of gas so buti nalang, may gas station malapit dun. Once we got there, konti lang yung namumukaan ko (all of them were my schoolmates at one point): si EI, Cherri, Jonard lang yung kilala ko. Haha! It was nice meeting them again, even for just a short time. Hindi rin kasi kami nagtagal ni Jayson. We just ordered our dinner then drank a couple of beers (para makarami, sayang yung punta eh! haha!). Siguro we only stayed for an hour. So off we go after that, dropped Jayson at Ortigas, then I was off to home. Pagod!
Wag niyo akong pamemewangin ah!!! Haha!
