long way to the top...

grabe.. what a tiresome week this is. prelims week with difficult subjects like OR and Cobol, together with the pressure that comes with the fast paced thesis deadline. i had a hard time with my tests kasi kahit ngayon thesis pa rin yung iniintindi namin. wala akong tulog kasi nag aral ako ng OR (which didnt paid off anyway because the test was waaay too hard), tapos the next day pumunta kami ni Dom sa PLM para sa thesis research.

on the way sa PLM, lumampas na naman kami ni dom sa babaan!! for the 2nd straight time!! haha. puros kasi mga tsismisan yung inaatupag namin sa transpo eh! karma na naman tuloy! hehe. so yun, bumaba kami dun sa MANILA CATHEDRAL. from there, nilakad namin papuntang PLM. we decided to walk kasi nagandahan kami sa lugar ng old manila! yung manila cathedral, maganda rin pala.. bata pa yata kasi ako nung huling punta ko dun eh! tapos yung mga houses na nakapaligid, ang luma na.. parang panahon pa talaga ni rizal! hehe. hindi kami nakatiis at nag picture picture kami ni Dom! (SEE PICTURES in my MULTIPLY account; see sidebar). hehe!

so when we finally got there sa PLM, dinalaw muna namin yung tita ko. tapos ayun, sinamahan na kami papuntang library. sa awa ng diyos, may napala rin naman yung research namin. we happen to find some interesting topics as well as some algorithms which we think we can make use of. sana talaga eto na yun! *crosses fingers*

after PLM, Dom and i split up. punta siyang DLSU to visit her boyfriend, Jeff. ako naman, i returned to UST.. i decided that i'll study cobol there.. grabe, nde pa ako nakakaaral and the test is next day na! buti nalang Runie texted! we met up and decided to eat. may bago kaming na-discover na place!

TIKBOY'S BARBECUE is the new place to be! haha. its located on the 2nd floor of the UST Carpark/Accounting building. ok yung food sa tikboy's! sulit yung menu nila pero mejo may kamahalan nga lang ang barbecue nila. so yun, after eating.. tinuruan rin ako ni Runie ng cobol. salamat pre! ang laki talaga ng naitulong ng tinuro mo! :)

then today, thursday, i had my cobol test. madali lang yung test pero nahinayang ako kasi hindi ko nakuha yung simulation part ng test.. 20 points pa naman. its been like two years na kasi since i last programmed my last cobol exercise. nakalimutan ko yung pasikot sikot ng pag simulate! haha.. its too late na nung na-gets ko na kung paano nga pala kinukuha yung mga values sa input! sayang.. and besides, i didn't have a calculator with me kaya ang bagal ko mag solve! sayang sayang! :( pero ayos lang yun.. compared to OR, i did ok with this test! =p

its been an interesting week (if albeit tiresome one) so far. i'll have my last test on saturday for my SE class. i also hope to finish our new thesis proposal this week. wish me luck! :)
