a day in the hospital

I just got back from the hospital. My sister, who just came back from her Boracay trip, suddenly got some red rashes all over her body. At the ER, the doctor told her that her platelets are down. Fearing it was dengue, she was confined in the NKTI hospital for further analysis.

And the good brother that I am (ahem! haha), I went there to be the 'bantay' for my sis. My mom couldn't because she had an important speaking engagement in Subic.

I've been there since 1 am this morning, and just got back. I thought the carpark fee will be exorbitant, luckily they only charged me a 100 bucks. ;p

Anyway, back to my ate... it was ruled this afternoon that it's not dengue... since she never had/have a fever. More or less, it was a 'hyper-sensitivity' ailment... it's still a mystery what caused it though.

My Tita Nel volunteered to be the 'bantay' this night, since my mom is dead tired so I had to drive her home. We'll be back tomorrow morning. Wish my sister well! ;)


On a side note:
I had a dream before where I was running along a hospital corridor. It actually happened to me yesterday, this early morning. I guess its a little case of deja vu.
