Car Troubles: Vol. Overheat
After dropping Oninz and Dale, I decided to go home. Then, the shit hit the fan.
Right before entering the Quezon Circle (Elliptical Road), I noticed that the car's temperature is over the middle! Shit! I decided to pull over at the sides. The car is having an overheat!
I opened the hood, and rightfully so, the radiator is freaking hot! I decided to open the radiator cap carefully... I know how these things are nasty during overheats. Last thing I want is to have a full force geyser of boiling water spraying on my face.
And thank god I was careful! When I removed the cap, it water sprayed full force like Mt. Pinatubo in the 90s! The radiator cap popped like a cork from a opened champagne!
Not to fear, I have water stored at the back compartment. When I looked, it was only HALF-FULL!!! 0_0
And that's when I remembered that my cellphone's battery had died out a few hours ago.
"NOW I'M IN DEEP SHIT!", I thought to myself.
After using that half full, half empty water bottle... I decided to ask for help. One guy approached me and said, "Gawin mo nalang, isara mo yung auto mo at makisuyo ka ng tubig sa mga bahay dun."
"Nice for stating the obvious, Captain Obvious!", I thought to myself! (lol just kidding, at least the guy was kind enough to show some sympathy ;p)
So yeah, I followed Captain Obvious' advice. As I was walking ahead, a guy asked me, "overheat? eto gamitin mo na itong tubig ko". He gave me a big container full of water! "Thank you po, kuya!", I said. :)
Then I used it, and its still wasn't enough! I closed the car again, gone back the same way, saw the man again, and said that I could ask for water on one of those vulcanizing shops ahead. Thankfully, the guy there was good enough to fill my water containers for me.
I went back and used the water. And thank god, it was enough this time. I went back to the guy who lent me the large water container to thank him.
But wait, where's my radiator cap!? It went flying minutes ago when I opened the radiator! lol. Thank god it was just under the cap. Made me worried, that damn thing! ;p
And as I was finished, I was a sweat job. I probably sweat more here than the basketball game. lol.
Along the way, I was monitoring the gauge. Thank god it never went overboard again. When I reached home, I was so exhausted! I swallowed a Biogesic, and decided to take a quick nap. Tsaka na ang ligo, hindi na kaya ng katawan ko! Haha! ;p
