MALICE MIZER

where do i start?! MM is definitely my favorite band for the moment and definitely one of my all time faves! Malice Mizer is one of the most influential and most popular JROCK visual kei band in Japan.. and guess what?! they've disbanded 5 years ago! 2001 to be exact! i guess im 5 years late eh?!

but its better late than never! so where did i learned of them? well, one time, i was bored so i decided to search the net for some cool looking outfits and coats.. then i got to this site where they're selling these cool looking coats that was inspired from games, movies, and other pop cultures.. one coat says there: "MALICE MIZER" coat.. it was a black gothic coat and it looked really cool.. so i said, "WTF is a malice mizer?". i googled it up, discovered that the cool coat i came across was worn by their vocalist, Klaha, in their beast of blood video.. and then i came across that malice mizer wikipedia entry and it forever changed my mind.. (uh, not really.. juz to sound dramatic! haha)

i was touched by their story. to sum it up, the band started in 1992 by Mana (the cross dressing, brilliant leader/guitarist of MM!) and Kozi (co-founder, duh, and guitarist of MM). They hired some guy which i think his name was Gaz and Yu~ki (for bassist, another cool member!), and then had a guy named Tetsu for vocalist. they released their first album and when their second album was about to come out, they kicked Tetsu and Gaz out of the band. Gaz being lazy and Tetsu reportedly having a not so nice voice. They then hired Kami for drums and pretty boy Camui Gackt as their new vocalist! they then released their second and third album and became immensely popular due to having Gackt as the new front man. in 1999, however, the band suffered their biggest blow... Gackt, their 2nd vocalist, left the group and pursued a solo career and became THE most popular JROCK artist in japan today... and shortly after, they're drummer, Kami, died. They regrouped however and hired a new front man in the form of Klaha and released a new album and a vampire movie before calling it quits in 2001. man, not only are they cool (they had the coolest outfits and makeup.. as well as great live concerts).. they also played GREAT music. its hard to describe their style.. para siyang classical music na ginawang modern.. kahit hindi ko naiintindihan yung lyrics (the fact that i cant read/speak japanese), nag eenjoy ako kasi ang galing ng sounds na ginagawa nila.. ang lufet talaga pramis! nag download na nga ako sa youtube ng mga mtvs nila eh.. tapos kumuha rin ako ng mga mp3s.. naghahanap na nga ako kung may nagtitinda ng mga albums nila dito sa pinas eh! ang galing tlga! if ever you want to try something from them, try niyo ito: Beast of Blood, Au Revoir, kyomu no naka de yuugi, mayonaka ni kawashita yakusoku (nakaka LSS yung chorus! haha), and gekka no yasoukyaku (cguro, ito yung favorite ko besides 'mayonaka').

i'll try uploading some songs on my multiply account if find the time.. basta.. give this band a chance, hindi kayo magsisisi. i cant listen to any other kind of music whenever im at home kasi puro MM yung nasa playlist ko ngayon! haha! au revoir!

yes, its another week.. and today is no classes because of another storm.. not that its a bad thing! HA-HA! it spared me one meeting of OR class and cost me one day for gym workout! but to make it short, id rather stay here at home and sleep! haha. looks like tommorow though will have classes.. i think it stopped raining now.. and i think the storm went to taiwan na..

on other news, im still addicted to MALICE MIZER! malice what?! MALICE MIZER thats what! MM is a visual kei band in japan.. in short, they're the type who performs with makeups on.. much like KISS and Marilyn Manson! but before you tell me "WTF?!", let me make another post exclusively for them!

halu halu!!!

hello!! been so long since i last posted! so what's up with me? im still paronoid as ever with our thesis! july is nearing its end but still, we still dont have a topic! nakakainis na!

it's also been 3 weeks since i started going to the gym.. and guess what? i gained 5 pounds!! yay! mission accomplished.. target ko kasi na magpataba.. and nothing does it better for me than going to the gym! ok yung training diet na hinanda ko para sa akin! epektib!! haha..

on other news, nag quiz na ako sa tatlong subjects ko.. first, the good news.. highest kami ni dom sa SE quiz!! yay!! the badnews.. both my OR and COBOL quizzes flunked! =( yung OR kasi, im really having trouble with it.. mahirap talaga. yung cobol naman, kayang kaya sana yung test.. dinalian kasi talaga ni mam cha.. the only problem was, hindi ako nasabihan na may scheduled test pala! nasuspend kasi yung classes ng two days because of the recent storm.. so yung friday, pag gising ko, tsaka lang nag txt si RA (my classmate in cobol) na may quiz pala! hindi ko tuloy napaghandaan.. sayang..! shit.. kelangan kong bumawi sa susunod..

and another news, may bago akong obsession ngayon!! haha.. i'll be writing about it next time.. mejo nilalamok na kasi ako dito! haha.. tc! :)

-> as i've said earlier, this one of my all time favorite movies! besides lee yeon hee, i liked this movie because ang galing ng pagkaka direct ng movie and the cast is all soooo good! bagay din yung tandem ni hyun bin and lee yeon hee! galing ng chemistry nila! and although the story is a bit dragging at the start, bawing bawi pag dating sa middle part hanggang sa ending!! if you get the chance, watch this movie!!! umiyak ako dito! haha. grabe, hindi ako makasulat ng matinong review.. sobrang love struck ako kay LEE YEON HEE!!! ;))

"eksena!"

haha.. ala lang.. naaliw lang ako sa term na "eksena".. pauso ata ni rix yun eh.. sa kanya ko lang kasi naririnig yun! hehe. neways, may nangyaring hindi ka-nais nais sa akin this week. besides flunking that OR quiz earlier today... last tuesday, sinimulan ko na yung mga korean movies goodies na ni-download ko while i was still doing my intership sa PIA. there was 3 movies.. SAD MOVIE, WHY ME SWEETIE, and A MILLIONAIRE'S FIRST LOVE (i'll be doing a review later).

i watched sad movie first.. yup, sad nga yung movie just like the title says. this movie is great.. beautiful direction, amazing sound track, and an all star cast rounds up this nice movie. hindi ko lang masyado nagustuhan eh yung pag wrap up nung movie. yup, it's obvious that this will end up as a "bad ending" movie hence the title 'sad movie'.. but i'm not bitter about that. most of the movie ran like a feel good romantic-comedy up until the final 15 minutes of the movie where the mood went from happy to rock bottom SAD. ok lang na hindi happy ending pero hindi ko talaga maintindihan yung purpose nila kung bakit bigla nila hinila pababa bigla yung mood nung movie.. yup, tear jerker yung huling parts pero pag inisip mo, parang 'artificial' yung labas ng pagka-sad movie niya. sa tingin ko gusto lang yata ng mga producers na "maiba naman" sa usual.

up next was why me sweetie. i was surprised that this wasn't a korean movie. at first kasi akala ko lahat ng downloads namin was korean.. then nung pag play ko.. mandarin yung salita.. hongkong movie pala yun.. hehe.. it wasn't that good.. in fact, i had to skip quite a few scenes just to get it over with.. hindi naman ganon kasama yung movie.. the fact lang na hindi bagay yung mixture ng chinese traditional over the top humor dun sa drama parts ng movie.. for example, naiiyak ka na dun sa isang part ng movie.. bigla ba naman mag slapstick comedy yung isang bida.. diba corny?!

then yung hinuli ko, a millionaire's first love. while i was on the peak of watching it, i realized na hindi pala kumpleto yung downloads ko!!! kulang ng 4 na parts!!!! nabadtrip talaga ako! akala ko kasi nakumpleto ko yung whole movie! ang ganda na pa naman nung part na tumirik ako.. nakakabitin!!! after two days (to be exact.. TODAY), nadownload ko na rin yung kulang kasi pumunta ako sa office ni mama ngayon at ginamit ko ang kanyang uber fast internet connection! haha.. and when i got home, pinanuod ko at ang masasabi ko.. this is now one of my all time favorite.. primarily dahil kay LEE YEON HEE!!! ang bago kong crush!! hahaha!!! cute cute cute cuuuuuuuuuuute!!! haaaay.. nakaka inlove talaga siya lalo na sa movie! hehe... wait for my review.. :)

muscle building week

haay.. another week has passed, and wala parin masyadong improvement sa thesis namin.. mejo nag papanic na ako.. as much as possible kasi, gusto ko nang matapos ng maaga yun.. eh hanggang ngayon wala parin kaming appeoved na thesis proposal! demn. also, this week saw me returning to the gym. yep, im back lifting weights! mukhang kailangan ko talagang maging fit kasi feeling ko babagsak yung katawan ko once sinumulan na namin talaga yung thesis, so right now, nag pupundar na ako ng mga laman laman para ma-counter yung stress. haha! as i've blogged before, ang laki talaga ng hinina ko.. kahit si jayson (larin), my ever gym buddy (haha!), admitted na siya rin eh nanghina.. ganon pala talaga kung matagal ka na tumigil sa pag gym. i'll be posting pics of the gym in a few days..

kanina naman, i went to UST kahit walang class kasi i need to avail of the locker rentals. kanina na kasi yung schedule ng pag reserve eh. sa awa ng diyos, nakakuha pa rin ako kahit late na ako nakarating ng school. dapat may thesis meeting kami nila dom and erick pero ni-cancel ko muna kasi ganon din.. darating si erick sa ust ng 1pm eh may class pa un.. si dom naman kailangan umuwi kaagad.. kaya useless din.. dbadibs!? hehe..

then, while i was in ust.. i bumped to mariek and... RIO!! hehe.. tagal ko na hindi nakita si rio! nung summer pa ata nung sinauli ko yung mp3 player niya yung huling kita namin! hehehe! ayun.. sinasamahan niya si mariek mag submit ng thesis proposal.. tapos nabanggit niya na yung DOTA boys nasa pacific suites pala! natandaan ko na ngayon nga pala yung get together nung mga julopongs! hahaha! so pinuntahan ko.. apat lang sila dun.. si ed, maki, myk, and oninz.. it was great to see them again! si myk and niño kasi ngayon ko lang nakita since nung graduation pa! after that.. i went home na..

you know what? my body still hurts after returning to the gym this week.. grabe.. hirap talaga ako itaas yung arms ko.. parang ang laking effort para gawin yun! pramis! naninibago siguro ulit yung body ko.. i made it a point rin kasi na yung sisimulan kong weights na bubuhatin eh kung saan ako tumigil dati! ayoko nang bumalik sa light ones ulit.. instead, i want to get back from where i left off..

this evening naman.. i logged in sa YM.. wow, online si rix! si maricar ay isa rin sa mga treasured friends ko.. miss na miss na miss ko na yan eh! haha.. tagal ko na kasi huling nakita yan! nabalitaan ko sa kanya na hindi pala siya ganon ka-happy sa office niya.. all the while kasi i thought she was very happy with that company.. yun pala unhappy siya dun kasi kupal raw yung iba niyang co-workers.. lagi siyang pinag iinitan possibly kasi siya lang yung natanggap dun sa company na fresh graduate.. ever.. jealous siguro sa kanya kaya pinag iinitan siya! although she's happy with her co-trainees, badtrip pa rin yun kasi yung mga regulars dun eh galit sa kanya! di bale rix.. im always praying for you! :)

right now.. it's all thesis for me.. finish that damn thing and all.. man, i need to graduate...
