While conversing with Dom earlier this day, she suddenly brought up the topic of pinoy pick up lines! Together with Apple and Mariek, we thought of crazy pick up lines which we've recieved from texts! Haha! These pick up lines are so cheesy! They're so corny... maybe way too corny (and that's why its so FUNNY!) Hehe! CONGRATS LOLA!!!

Congratulations to Carol Po! She passed the recent Nursing Board exam that was held last December 2006! All the leakage worked! Hahaha! Jk! The results were shown just three days ago... and thank god, Carol passed! Wow! All our prayers worked! I'm so happy for you! :) Lola, kailan ka ba mag-blowout?! Ang laki na ng utang mo sakin na libre ah! Sisingilin ko na! Haha! Congrats! Galing! :)

Krispy Kreme

A while back, my sister brought home 2 dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts. One dozen consisted of only Honey-glazed donuts, the Krispy Kreme specialty... and the other dozen had a variety of different flavored donuts. It was my first time trying out these donuts and grabe, naadik ako! Haha! The 'variety' dozen is obviously much expensive than the all-Honey-glazed dozen, but I must say na mas "good-buy" yung honey-glazed pack. Ang sarap talaga ng Honey-glazed! Grabe! You can probably finish it with one sitting if you're not careful! Definitely try it! Another thing, keep these things away from diabetics... unless you want to kill them of course. ;p

Lakers-Kings game

I don't know what's with the LA Lakers-Sacramento Kings but one thing's for sure, it's almost always a great game everytime these two teams face off. Last friday (Manila time) was no different! I was sleeping the night off on the sofa when my dad woke me up (happens that he's also a Lakers fan just like me!)... it was the Kings-Lakers matchup. The game was kinda boring the first three quarters. Kobe wasn't scoring much and the Lakers were still trampling the Kings by 21 pts! Nakakatulog pa nga ako eh! Akala ko walang kwenta talaga. Come 4th quarter, grabe, humabol yung Kings! With 10 seconds left in the game, the Kings were now leading by four! Akala namin ng dad ko tapos na yung laro! Eh biglang nag set play: Inbound to Kobe, pass to Radmanovic, three points! Lakers are now down to just 1pt! Now, before the ball was inbounded, Kobe was called for a FOUL! A really bad call (actually, this game has really bad officiating)!!! Bibby was sent to the line for a bonus free throw!!! Kobe is mad! Bibby misses! (Haha!) Kings will inbound again. Inbounds to Kevin Martin (Kings). Foul! Kevin Martin on the freethrow line. Misses 1 out of 2 shot. Kings lead by 2 with 6 secs remaining. During this time, everyone thinks Kobe will take the last shot. Then the last play of regulation ensued: Inbound to Kobe. Bibby and Martin double teams Kobe! Kobe passes to a cutting Smush Parker! Layup! Pasok! Overtime! Yehey! Haha! Come overtime, the Lakers beat the Kings with the final score of 132-128.

It was really a great game with the Kings rallying from a 21 point deficit with almost winning it all at the end. Almost. Although this game was plagued with horrible officiating, bawing bawi rin talaga sa dulo because of the performance of both teams. Kobe, despite being scoreless in the first quarter, finished with 42pts, 10rebs, and 9assts! Mike Bibby was so clutch just like he was during the past Lakers-Kings games. He finished with 38pts and 6 assists. This is the kind of game that despite whoever team wins, fans will still be contented. Both teams played great, so both deserved to win. It just so happens that the Lakeshow came up on top! :) I'm really excited with this year's Lakers season. Despite losing Lamar Odom and Kwame Brown to injuries, the Lakers are still one of the top teams in the standings! They're a young team too! The oldest player on that Lakers team right now is Kobe who's just 28 years old and just reaching his peak! Andrew Bynum, 19 years old, is showing a lot of promise! Looks like another Lakers dynasty in the near future is in the making! :)

New Year's Resolution

Happy New Year guys! It's this time of the year when we propose our so called new year's resolution. A list of traits about ourselves (mostly negative) that we want to resolve. You know you got one, so here's mine.

**I'm gonna add more things here as I think of them.

1. Study harder! - Yes, this is so cliched but it still a necessity for any student to include in his new year's resolution.
2. Save money - I need to save. Period.
3. Exercise and stay healthy - I need to exercise, not just weights but also more cardio. My body is failing me due to constant work. This past few weeks, I'm like a zombie. Yung feeling na parang lagi kang antok even though all you do is sleep all day!
4. Eat right - That means lesser fast foods/junk foods for me! More veggies! Eaaayuck!
5. Control my temperament - Yes, I know it got a turn for the worse due to uncontrolled circumstances like faggot advisers and the likes. The only way is to moderate it, not suppress it!
6. Get more sleep! - The whole christmas vacation, all I did was sleep. I will need more this year because I'm expected to lose a large sum of sleep because of the nearing end of the school year (in layman's term: piling school works).
7. Clean my room! - I've been postponing this for years now. Maybe I should just go and Nike it... you know, "Just do it!"
8. Balance my time - I should organize my time to be able to maximize it.
9. Be a better son and brother.
10. Graduate! - Goddamn, this one is definitely overdued.
11. Drink more water! - Yeah, drink lots of it.
12. Recover social life! - 2006 was really bad for me. Traces of social life all disappeared. Must recover it. Must. Recover. Damnit.
13. Get lucky - I was so malas in 2006 that I thought someone hexxed me. 2007 though is the year of the Pig! My year! So I expect to be very lucky this time around! :)

Christmas Loot!

I've spent all my Christmas loot on clothes. Like I've said on my other post, I'm gonna show what I got to buy.

Got this nice classy jacket from Maldita (yes, much to my surprise, they do have men's apparels). First time I saw this, I was able to resist. The 2nd time around, I wasn't able to. And oh, when you buy from Maldita, tell them you've been naughty. Naughty people get discounts! Haha (Not kidding!)

This purple polo shirt caught my eye the moment I saw it. It was also cheaper than other stores so I bought it. This one is from Solo.

Another shirt from Solo. This purple shirt has a beautiful crow design and a very nice fit for me so I bought it.

This one, I bought in Folded and Hung. Black, pinstripe semi-formal jacket suit with a very soft cloth. A bit pricey though. I'm gonna have it adjusted for great fit.

Striped black slacks. It's hard for me to shop for pants but this one really got my eye. This one is from Greenhills. That store in Shoppesville that I've mentioned, Mix.

This one is also from Mix. Black (with blue pinstripes) 3/4's polo shirt. I don't have 3/4's so I bought this one. Dale also got one too (exact color! pwede na kami mag concert, langya.)

This blue vest was also from Mix. This complements the black/blue pinstriped 3/4's shirt that I bought.

"Ungas" aka Jannah (or is it the other way around?)

Last saturday, I got to meet Jannah aka "Ungas" again in SM North. Why do I call her "Ungas"? Dunno, it just came to be. It's our pet name for each other! Haha. The last time I saw her was 3 years ago. She went to the states (in Houston, Texas) kasi her whole family decided to migrate there. Wala pa rin pinagbago si Ungas! Same old, same old Ungas that I know (both a bad thing and a good thing! hahaha! joke!) It was really nice to get to talk to her again in person. She was one of my closest and memorable friend in UST so it was really a pleasure to meet her again after so long. So ayun, kwentuhan at libot libot yung ginawa namin. Too bad her mom got really worried and started calling her na to go home (si Ungas kasi, right after the night she arrived, dumirecho na kaagad sa mga friends niya at nag sleep over dun! she met me nalang on the way home.) Sana lang talaga ma-meet ko uli si Ungas bago siya bumalik ulit sa states. Ungas! Yung gift mo na controller sakin ah! Bigay mo na! Hehe!

trip to tanay

Last Thursday, I went to Tanay (in Rizal) to accompany my mom. You know, the Sierra Madres. There was a commercial shoot with a group of teenagers for an anti-drugs program that was organized by my mom for her consultation work. It was sooo cold! Grabe, parang Baguio! Mas malamig pa nga kaysa sa Baguio eh. We arrived during mid day so the cold was bearable. During the later noon, I swear, nangangarag na yung bibig ko sa lamig! Nanginginig yung mga tuhod ko!

The view is also a sight to behold. The whole place was also large. At first I thought it was just small but when I peeked at the distant porch... malaki din pala. There was a ranch, a golf course, and an oversized garden. My mom even told me to bring swim wear in case I wanted to swim (as if I could eh nakamamatay yung lamig!) kasi meron ding swimming pool (complete with a water fall!) Maganda talaga yung scenery and the air is great since the place is literally on the mountains! Anyway, here are some pics.
