Sunshine

Sunshine Erfe. A very dear friend of mine since my high school days. Someone who I very rarely see nowadays. Last time I saw her was in 2005! Before she decided to lay low, we arranged to meet kasi may sasabihin daw siyang important... it never happened because of my frickin busy schedule. The next time was months ago when she emailed that she will be going in Manila... I wasn't able to meet her, AGAIN, because of my goddamn thesis problems and the trolls behind it! Now, the latest chance to meet her was this week. She messaged me in Friendster but I only got to read it 4 days later because of my busted mouse and lack of internet connection! I had the opportunity to meet her this past Tuesday because there was a second wedding of sorts for her, but I couldn't leave the house because I thought a friend of mine would be coming over. Hours passed and my friend still hasn't made contact with me. Much to my annoyance, my cellphone was with my mom because she went to the hospital to have a checkup. Her phone broke down so she borrowed mine for emergency. So I was virtually just a helpless fool waiting for things to happen. I couldn't text anybody. I couldn't call anybody. All my contacts was on my phone! Heck, when I decided to call my mom through my phone, she wasn't answering! When she got home, I asked her why she didn't picked up, she told me she doesn't know how! So there I was, sitting in my house... blew another chance of meeting Sunshine again after so looong!! I don't blame anybody... it's just that nahihinayang lang ako sa chance na makita uli yung kaibigan ko. So much has happened to Shine since we've last met so meeting her was something I was really looking forward to.. and blowing the chance of meeting her just because of miscommunication really ticks me. If I only knew my friend wouldn't be able to drop by the house then I would've been able to go to Shine's wedding! Again, I don't blame anybody. I'm just annoyed, ticked just by thinking about it. If only I had my phone with me all day. If only. Goddamn 2006 really sucked for me! Now, I'm just hoping for another chance to meet Sunshine again.

Sunshine with her new family: husband Kas and baby Shas. Last time I've met Shine personally was in UST Library in 2005. Wish you all the best my dear friend! :)

The Great Shopping Spree!

Since I had (read: HAD --> past tense) money during the early days of December due to my recent birthday AND christmas loots, it's just a matter of time before I splurge on it. It happened during the 15th! It was friday and I was with my sister (who's almost always laging galit sa pera! haha!) in a mall - Robinson's Galleria to be exact. Add the fact that it was a 3-day midnight sale! Only one conclusion can be drawn from that... SHOPPING! I bought two shirts from Solo. One purple t-shirt with a crow design, and one plain purple polo shirt (purple is actually my fave color as of now... it's practically the new pink, the new "in" color.) I was actually surprised with Solo... I never thought that their collection is really good. It's also a bit cheaper than, say People are People, and Folded and Hung. *Wait for the post where I'm gonna show all the stuff that I've bought. Apparently, I've spent all my money on clothes!*

The following day, the next conquest is the SM Mall of Asia. I had Thesis consultation
in the morning so I wasn't able to go with my mom and sis in 168 (Divisoria). Instead, we met up later in CCP and then went to MOA. Here, I bought a black stylish jacket from Maldita (yeah, they also have apparels for men). It was nice so I couldn't really resist. We strolled around MOA for a decent amount of time. Here are some pics:

This one's my doodle during our lunch in Dad's

I'm actually taking a shot of the food, extra lang yung ate ko! Haha

My sis and my mom posing for the camera.

While window shopping, we passed by Marks and Spencer. I saw a suit there which I really liked (really good cloth!) When I looked at the price tag, shit, wag na lang! Haha! It was too expensive! Almost 10k! Grabe.

While it's nice to look like James Bond 007, it's too pricey. Too out of reach for me! Haha. Tsaka nalang pag may trabaho na ako =p

LUSH

Has anyone ever heard of Lush? I first read about it from Celine Lopez's article in Philippine Star. It's a store which sells different kind of soaps in pastry-like forms! I promise you, nakakatakam talaga. Celine Lopez wasn't exaggerating when she said in her column that the Lush soaps looks so delicious you might just want to eat them! It smells so good too... they have different kind of "flavors" so you can pick what's for you (I bought the mint flavored blue soap!) It's a little bit pricey too because they sell depending on what size/cut of the soap that you're gonna buy. Just like a bakery, selling cakes by slices. Really great stuff. Check it out if you happen to pass by it.

Yup, those are soaps. Looks so delicious, you might just want to eat them!

The great shopping spree hasn't stopped there yet. The following day, Dale asked me to go with him in Greenhills. He was able to buy 2 shoes and a bunch of shirts. I, on the otherhand, was able to buy a 3/4's polo shirt (Dale also got one), a blue vest to accompany the polo (and which can also be used as a sleeveless shirt), and a very nice checkered slacks! All worth the money in my opinion! If you're a guy and you want to go shopping for wonderful clothes, visit this nice little store located on the 3rd flr of Shoppesville, Greenhills:

Shopping Spree Reloaded: Dom's Attack
The day after Paskuhan, Dom asked me to accompany her in Greenhills. She's supposed to buy gifts for her beloved Jeff but also ended up buying things for herself! Haha. Highlight of the day was meeting "Lindsay and Paris" in the jeepney towards Greenhills (Haha!); Dom, who couldn't decide which pants to buy, ended up buying both pants she was fitting; the irritating guy beside our table while we're having dinner; and the curse of Dom's blasted credit card. Dom's card really cursed us. She was looking for gifts to give to Jeff, and when we happen to find those things, those stores doesn't support the credit card she's using! Hehe! Buti naman at nabili rin namin lahat ng kailangan niyang bilhin!

After Greenhills, we went to Robinsons Galleria. Dom then treated me to a dinner in Old Spaghetti House. Before we went in, we asked the girl employee if they were accepting Dom's credit card. The girl answered yes so we got in and ordered, and ate. When we got the bill, Dom presented the card. A while later, the waiter returned saying that they're not accepting Dom's credit card! Shit. Buti nalang Dom and I were both carrying cash. Dom still ended up buying me dinner. I just felt guilty because she used her cash wherein we're supposed to use her credit card. After settling the bill, I went in and talked to that girl employee who told us about the credit card. Just gave her a brief sermon. She was apologetic so we just let her be. No harm done naman eh.

Candid photo of Dom. I'm happy for her since she got everything she wanted for Christmas.

Trying out her new phone camera!

paskuhan 2006

Ya, I've attended my 5th (and definitely my last) UST Paskuhan! It's just the same as all the others... although much, much less luster (at least for me) than the other paskuhans. Porbably because wala na yung mga batchmates ko. I wasn't really going pero pinilit ako ni Dale! So at the paskuhan, it was me, Dale, and Anthony. Maki, Ed, and the others didn't make it. Along the way, we met Runie, Apple (and his boyfriend Mike), Jam, Barbo, Ian, Kat, Jess. We also saw Donna, Jenny Ami, and others. I also met some IM alumni friends - Mike (Vitu) and Joseph (Mandapat).

Funny thing was, during the fireworks I was still in the gym working out! Sabi kasi sa akin walang magaganap na fireworks this year. Much to my surprise, it started banging while I was working out. Sayang! Haha! Then, there's still the free food. Then the concert... Urbandub and Spongecola (Yuck!) headlined this time around. It was actually same old, same old. It's either that or I just really don't fucking care anymore.

*Anyways, have you seen those red glowing "devil horns" headbands around? Those were the rage of the night so I bought one. Hehe.

Shit, bagay ah. Parang au natural! Hehe.

under the influence

Before the year ended, I was already under the influence of... Creasource! A creatine brand which I got from my gym buddy, Jayson. At first, I was reluctant to try it but after a while, my body got used to it! It promotes extra muscle mass (and leaner, I must say!). It's safe since it's been proven that creatine IS safe for the body. It's basically just a weight training supplement.

People have been asking me what I was taking since they noticed the mass that I gained in just after a short span of using the product. It's just plain effective! Thanks to Jayson for introducing me to Creasource! Yipeeee!

*ummm, this blog entry sounds like a product endorsement.

The pic is blurry. It says in the wrapper: creatine monohrydrate

This is what the tablet looks like.

update

It's been a while since I last blogged. Blame it on school works and other curricular activities. What I'm gonna do is cram blog entries about the last three weeks I've haven't posted. From the madly Christmas shopping spree that I did up to the trip to Tanay... and yes, it was a mixed bag. Some experiences I liked, while some left me annoyed and disappointed!

Ryan J christmas party

I'm so tired right now. I just got back from the annual Ryan J Christmas party. It was somewhat the same as last year: same hosts, same games, same programs, and same jokes! It was still fun though. The food was great... and before I knew it, I was munching through the food table. Ang DAMI kong nakain! I was like, just putting food on my mouth. Buti nalang nangangayayat ako ngayon kaya ok lang ang 'lumamon'! Haha! It was just Jesse and Jayson with me this time. Jesse came to the party from work. Dumayo pa talaga siya just for the party. Haha. Si Jayson naman galing sa house ng girlfriend niya... monthsary kasi nila! Hehe. I wasn't able to snap pictures of the party pero at least may pics kaming tatlo! Hehe.

Gym Buddies: Jessie, Fil, and Jayson
O, pa-sideview naman!
Langya, halatang wasted na ako dito sa pic! Hehe!

UST Engineering: Day 69

Ever since the 2nd semester started, there was a countdown board in the Engineering lobby. It's a countdown to the Engineering Centennial Day and everyone is excited. The countdown started with 100... and today, it's at day 69! Haha! We found it amusing so I snapped a picture of it! It's like, "Today is Wednesday, December 6, 2006... aka Day 69!" Hahahahaha! (Oo na, cge na.. mababaw lang ang kaligayahan ko! Hehe!)

Day 69: "Groovy!"

puppy

The last time I went to SM Megamall, I walked by a pet shop and saw a cute puppy. It's a beagle and he's on a cage visible for everyone to see outside. When I looked at him, he looked so sad (well, who wouldn't? being locked up and all...). He looked away when he noticed me observing him. Nakakaawa talaga. When I get a job and have a bachelor's pad of my own, I'm going to buy a dog. I love beagles. So cute. Hehe. While browsing my pics folder, I saw the dog's pic because I happen to snap a shot of him.

If only I had the money and time, I would buy this dog and free him from that cage. :(

dom's party

Later that day where Dale and I went shopping, we went to Jeff's house (Dom's boyfriend) to celebrate Dom's birthday. In all honesty, I was really tired the whole day. Wala kasi akong tulog the previous night, dba... tapos nagpasama pa si Dale mag shopping. When we got home from the mall at around 7pm, I was so dead tired that I wanted to sleep na! But it was Dom's party later that evening so kailangan pumunta kung hindi ay magtatampo yun! Haha! So ayun, another night of drinking alcohol and talking about crazy stuffs. Haha! It was fun! Sayang lang at wala yung Bakal. Biglaan kasi yung celebration ni Dom so hindi na nasabihan kaagad yung iba... so yung mga visitors, all we're from Dom's highschool. Kami lang ni Dale and from UST! Haha! I was soooo tired, tapos sabog na ako because of the beer. I got home around 2am na. Dahil nga pagod at sabog na ako last night during the party, hindi na ako nakakuha ng mga pics. All I got was Fiona's (Dom and Jeff's dog) pic and a nice shot of Jeff's christmas tree! Haha!

Princess Fiona... Dom and Jeff's beloved. Haha!

Jeff's christmas tree. Naaliw lang ako. Hehe.

shopping with dale

During the "looong vacation", Dale stayed in our house 'til Saturday evening. Yesterday, we went to school to attend a thesis consultation. Much to my surprise, there was no classes! Even the professors of the Engineering didn't know the supposed suspension... heck, even the janitors and security guards didn't know about it! So it was another futile effort by Dom and I because we stayed up 'til 5 in the morning just discussing thesis. Disappointed, Dom went home kaagad... while Dale and I decided to watch 'Borat'.

We went to SM San Lazaro to watch the movie... but when we got there... wala palang 'Borat' dun! So we went to SM North. When we got there, wala rin 'Borat'! Edi, "na-Borat" (pun intended) na kami ni Dale so we instead watched 'The Return'. The movie sucks so bad that I snoozed almost half of it! Don't watch it by the way! It's annoying and predictable. Anyways. after that horrendous movie, Dale and I decided to go shopping! Yay! Iba na talaga pag may trabaho na... lalo na sweldo lang last thursday! Namili tuloy si Dale! Haha!

Mostly, we roamed the newly opened, "The Block" to go window shopping. When we got to 'Folded and Hung', may nagustuhan kami ni Dale! Gastos tuloy kami! All I can say is, maganda ang collections ng F&H ngayon... better than 'People are People' these days, in my opinion. I was running short of money so I borrowed from Dale, which I later paid when we got home. Enjoy rin mamili. Next time, we're gonna take Ed, Mark, and NiƱo with us to go shopping! Haha!

Dale and I, trying out our new pimp suits. Haha!
