NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND 2007

Haven't watched it really. I was too busy so all I got to watch were replays and highlights. Here's the summary anyways.

Foot Race:
Charles Barkley beats 67 year old ref Dick Vabetta to a foot race! Hahahaha!

Skills Challenge:
Dwyane Wade beats my man Kobe with a perfect run during the second round. The chest pass doomed Kobe! :(

Three-Point Shootout:
Jason Kapono of the Miami Heat outshoots Gilbert Arenas and Dirk Nowitzki in the final round to win the competition. He scored a freaking 24 points during the final round.

Slam Dunk:
Gerald Green of the Celtics out-dunked midget Nate Robinson to become the new slam dunk champ! His final dunked consisted of a windmill while jumping over a table. Nate messed up his final dunk for like a million times en route to losing. I still think Dwight Howard's sticker dunk was the most creative though! Haha!

East VS West All-Star:
The West all-stars stomped the East, 153-132, to win the 2007 All-star game! My man Kobe wins MVP for the second time. He scored 31 points and had 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 6 steals! As Commissioner Stern said, "Kobe, you're the star of the stars!" Bwahahaha!

A night out to remember...

Last sunday night was definitely a night to remember for me. I was out with two of my best friends, Dom and Eduard, drinking the night away. But that would be jumping from the start. Early that afternoon, Dom and I went to Ed's house to consult with our thesis. Tinuturuan kasi kami ni Ed gumamit ng Java Netbeans. After that, nagyaya si Ed lumabas! We went to Starbucks first and had a nice little chat. Eh bitin, sabi ni Ed mag change venue. We decided to go to Pier One, Timog to get "a few drinks".

What supposed to be a few drinks turned into a booze session! Grabe. Ok lang yung mga SMB Strong Ice na ininom namin eh... yung nag-pasama talaga eh yung Strawberry Tequilla na inorder ni Dom!!! Grabe, parang truth serum! Sa sobrang lasing ko, hindi ko na matandaan kung anu anu yung mga pinagsabi kong mga secrets ko! Haha! Kinakantyawan nalang ako ni Ed kinabukasan eh! Haha! Hindi na ako nakauwi so kay Ed nalang ako natulog... and akalain mo nag-suka pa ako! Si Dom, hinatid nalang ng parents ni Ed. Pag gising ko nga kaninang umaga, suuuuuuppppeeeeerrrr hang over ako eh! Definitely the worst hang over yet in my whole life! Tuyong tuyo ako!

T'was a night to remember! Sarap ng kwentuhan! Sana next time mas marami na kami. Lahat kasi kagabi hindi pwede eh! Nagkataon lang talaga na walang pasok si Ed pag Mondays. Haaay.. now it's back to thesis work for me! :(

LSM Buddies

This week was more of a remembrance to my LSM days than what else. Besides going gaga with my crush and acting like a highschooler, I've met more LSM batchmates this week than I did for a long time!

Just last Wednesday on my way home, I bumped into Niño (Fernandez), a Lourdesian batchmate. While I was entering the FX, someone bumped me. When I looked, it was Niño. Akala ko kung sino! Haha. So ayun, usap kami during the whole trip! We talked mostly about our other batchmates. It looks like kami nalang dalawa yung naiwan sa UST! Haha!

Then, if that wasn't enough, I've met Jeoff (Lapena) and Gino (Cruz) in Gateway just earlier today! Although it was a brief encounter, I was somewhat happy to see old friends again! Jeoff said he was working in a call center while Gino is taking up Law.

Grabe! Parang tuloy gusto kong pumunta sa alumni homecoming ng Lourdes. To all my LSM buddies: I miss you all! Haha! :)

hana yori dango = meteor garden

I finally watched the Hana Yori Dango live action drama that was given to me by a friend. For those who don't know, Hana Yori Dango is basically (more popular to the Philippines) Meteor Garden! It's actually the original version which inspired the Taiwanese to do Meteor Garden. Hana Yori Dango was a popular manga, then turned anime, and now a live action drama.

The story is exactly the same as Meteor Garden, which revolves around a poor girl Tsukushi Makino (Shan Cai) and her relationship with F4 consisting of: Tsukasa Domyoji (Dao Ming Zu), Rui Hanazawa (Hua Ze Lei), Akira Mimasaka (Mei Zuo), and Sojiro Nishikado (Xi Men). By watching both incarnations, I say that Hana Yori Dango which was made in 2005, has higher production values resulting to a more polished product than the 2001 made Meteor Garden. In the story presentation though, I think Meteor Garden has the advantage being that it has more solid character development. Meteor Garden had 19 episodes, each with 45 minutes... while Hana Yori Dango season one had only 9 episodes, which is a little short to develop the characters and make the audience appreciate them more. But fear not, Hana Yori Dango season 2 is now ongoing in Japan. Anyways, both series were great so just watch them both.

What about the rumor according to Erick that there will be a pinoy Hana Yori Dango/Meteor Garden starring no other than Heart Evangelista as Shan Cai?! God, please don't make it happen!!! Hahaha! Sinong susunod na cast?! Si Jericho Rosales si Dao Ming Zu?! Tapos si Diether Ocampo si Hua Ze Lei?! Holy Bull Crap! Just shoot me nalang to get it over with! Hahahaha! Peace out! ;p

Right now, I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo obsessed with someone! Someone I don't even know the name! Grabe talaga! Call it a crush, call it infatuation, call it admiration... but frankly speaking for myself, I'd call it OBSESSION! Hahaha! Now, I wouldn't want to go writing about this here on my blog and make myself look like a fool but... I just can't plain help myself. I've been obsessed with this girl for three days now. I can't even remember why or how! Para ngang kulam eh! Hindi ko alam kung bakit siya nalang bigla palagi yung asa isip ko! Parang bigla nalang pinasok sa utak ko! Haha!

Here's a fun fact, I know her since last school year pa.. though not personally. She's a varsity player kasi of her college and I always get to see her play in the Engineering Complex. Nakasabay ko rin siya mag jog dati! So, yun, dati ko pa siya crush... pero wala lang. Tapos this past three days, biglang sumulpot nalang sa utak ko na crush na crush ko na siya! I'm spending a lot of time browsing the net just to find her Friendster page... to no avail! GRRRR!! Hindi ko kasi alam yung name eh! All I know is her jersey number, her college, and her unforgettable face tattoed on my mind! Haaaay!!

Yeah, I found her teammates' Friendsters pero I can't still find hers. I also found several pics of her (from her teammate's pages) pero walang captions so I STILL don't know her name!! Yeah, you can just write the word "STALKER" on forehead right now! Waaaaah! I'm a hopeless case! Pabayaan niyo na! Minsan lang 'to! I'd probably get over this in a couple of days! Haha!


UPDATE
As of late last night (or rather, early morning) I finally found her Friendster page!!! I almost totally thought that she doesn't have one!!! Wahahahahaha!! Lalalalalalalalalala!! Haha! Mukhang mapapadalas ang tambay ko sa building nila! Or mapapadalas na rin ang pag jogging ko ulit sa UST field! Haha! However, from what I've read from her Friendster page, mukhang bungisngis at hyper na tao itong si crush! Totally opposite from what I've thought of her. Malaki rin yung tendency na baka *gulp*... tibo (lesbian/tomcat/tomboy) siya!!! Even so, crush ko pa rin siya!! Wahahaha! Ito na nga yung theme song ko sa kanya eh! HAHA!

barely surviving

After being sick for almost the whole of the past two weeks, I'm kinda up and running now until... UNTIL... my freakin' Gall-bladder stones started bothering me since yesterday! It was so painful that I didn't even bother to go to school. It hurts on my lower-right back, just inches above my right ass cheek. Feels like Mike Tyson just punched me on that part! Freakin' hurts really. My body is falling apart. I know it, I was expecting it... I just can't admit it. I can't even stay on late night/early morning thesis work with Dom right now since my body is so weakened. Nahihiya na nga ako kay Dom kasi hindi na ako masyado nakakatulong. I need to get better!

Anyway, the past two weeks.. I've gotten a new haircut that's so short for my standard (the type na napangiti si ma'am Pearl hanggang tenga!). Long hair guys are on a manhunt these time around in the Engineering building! The security guards wouldn't even let me in... they even confiscated my ID! On top of all that misery, that freakin' assistant of the assistant dean (I think his name was 'sir Bon') was chasing me even on my way out of the building! Talk about overkill! I had no other choice but to get a haircut! At least it wasn't as bad as the one I had at the beginning of the school year!

Another thing, I enrolled on a new gym. I will soon be posting about it. I will just take time for my body to recover, and finish all the fucking thesis works before I go serious in working out again. I've been eating a lot lately... Dom said I lost a lot of weight and that she can see it in my face. Haaay... I juuuuust can't wait to get all these school works to be over! I'd be just the happiest person in the world when all of these are over! Please God!!!
