Back to UST

After a VERY long time, I'm finally back to my beloved alma mater, the University of Santo Tomas!

I came back to take care of the last remaining thorn of my life, my Thesis. Arrived around 2pm and met up with Erick. Since I lost my UST Id, I had to leave my other id with the security.

After printing the remaining documents, Erick and I (together with Eugene and Nelson), went straight to the ICS Department to pass the docu to Ma'am Cha.

There's a LOT of changes. Lot's of new teachers and students. This ain't like the ICS Department I used to know. ;p


Highlights

*Coffee Prince. Since I'm sporting a longer hair and a pony-tail, the first thing Erick told me when I saw him was that my hair was like that long haired guy from Coffee Prince. I didn't thought much about it. Then when one of my former profs (and Pilep's buddy) Sir Tanael saw me, he also said the same thing! Coffee Prince daw! The fuck!? Haha!

*I get to see Rio again! I missed Rio. She's one of my closest friends back in College, and now she's a professor here! ;p

*I forgot how beautiful UST was. Like when I saw the football field, I remember the days when I used to jog around there with friends just to make papansin to girls. ;p

*We ate at Bingkay's. It's been a while, and it was totally nostalgic at least for me. ;p

*I miss my professors! Well, some of them anyways. The biggest is Ma'am Pearl. Why? Because all throughout College, she NEVER fails to order me to cut my hair! She would threaten to not let me get a quiz; not to let me inside the room during a class; to report me to the office... you get it right!? So I really had no choice but to cut my hair. Haha!

So now that I'm out of school and sporting this long hair, I always remember her! Hahaha! I finally got to see her again today. She's back at her old position as ICS Department Chair. So kwentuhan galore, and kantyawan! Fun stuff. ;p

Surprise 'Pre-Despedida' Dinner for Eduard

As early as Thursday, the barkada (particularly Chelips and Maki) were planning a surprise party for Ed. The plan was to have Pilep and Che invite Ed for dinner. Unknown to Ed, the rest of the gang is already there when he arrives. ;p

And so it happened! Haha! Although not everyone made it to the dinner, there's still the majority of us there: Che, Pilep, Me, Mark, Myk, Drey, Jem, and Ed himself. Oninz, Pay, Dale, and Dom is absent this time.

I met up with Mark and Myk in Mcdo, Q.Ave. After a while, we proceeded to Steaktown (Q.Ave) where the surprise dinner will be held.

Soon after, Jem and Drey followed. And then finally, Che and Pilep together with Eduard. Langya si Pilep, nadulas pala kay Ed a while back. The keyword was "daw". Hahahaha! ;p

Anyways, the dinner was great. I LOVE steak. And yeah, the price was exorbitant. It was still all good though because I loved the food. The only bad thing on that restaurant were the waiters. ;p

After dinner, we decided where to hang out for a while. We chose Pier One in Timog. Ed thought of ordering the same Vodka MixKilla which downed me a couple of moons ago. Kaso this time, it doesn't taste so good. It taste so strong in which that the Vodka flavor is TOO strong. I remember kasi dati when it was just me, Dom, and Ed... we even got to order two pitchers of that because we enjoyed it so much. ;p

After Pier One, the others decided to call it a night. Jem, Drey, and Myk all went home. The rest of us went to Starbucks in Araneta Avenue. Kwentuhan galore and everything. I'm actually gonna miss Ed when he goes to Singapore. I just didn't imagine at first that he'll actually stay there for like 4 years! ;p

Kat's Birthday - An "Unlucky but Lucky" Day! ;p

Our good friend Kat held her birthday party last Friday. I must say that this is a very surreal day, at least for me. Read on! Haha!

I started the day by bringing my dad to the hospital for his fourth and final medication for his right foot. I was really feeling bad that morning- my body was heavy, and I had a hard time breathing. And it sucks that I have to drive through all these.

After the hospital, I drove my dad home. I was also texting Pilep and Che about later evening's plan. Once I reached home, I checked on my car. And shit, flat tire yung isang gulong! Yung mahirap, walang spare tire yun! So I had to use a freaking FOOT PUMP to inflate the tire well enough to reach the vulcanizing shop just outside the subdivision!

After that, I went back home. Che and Fifi then texted me about the plan. I'll meet Fifi in UST to accompany him to Dangwa to buy flowers for Kat. So I hurried and proceeded to take a bath.

After an hour, I got to UST and fetch Fifi. We proceeded to Dangwa. And behold, this is MALAS #1. Haha!

While we were at Dangwa, we stopped by the sidewalk and put the car in emergency signal. We began to bargain with the flower vendor. After buying the flower, an MMDA officer approached us! Bawal raw tumigil dun!!! Taena!

MMDA Officer: Bossing! Bawal pumara dito! Akin na lisensya mo!
Me: Ay puuut...(realizing the officer can hear me, I held back! haha!) Bossing, pasensya na ho. Di ho kasi namin alam na bawal pala tumigil dito.

After some yapping about telling me what I should have done and all, I blurted out: "Bossing, baka pwedeng pag usapan nalang natin ito!"

MMDA: Pag-usapan!? Sige, ipara mo dun sa side street! Halika!

Akala ko yayariin ako kasi I tried to "bribe" him. It turned out, magpapa-bribe talaga! Haha! Another MMDA officer approached us and asked the other guy: "Ano problema nito?" The one who caught us said, "Mukhang mabait naman eh.. "nakikiusap" eh!"

I LOL'D (just in my mind! ;p). Pilep and I were somehow relieved. The officer then told me, "Cge, nakakaawa ka tikitan eh.. ikaw na bahala!" Hahaha! So eventually, he finally let us go. We then proceeded to Che's crib in nagtahan. ;p

Che had to tutor a kid so she left me and Fifi in her room. So Tekken na naman! Haha! Pilep finally beat my Anna with his King! First time my Anna got beaten! ;p

After a while, Che finally came back. Ed followed later. We then watched a portion of 'Meet The Spartans'! It was funny! That Britney scene is still on my mind!

"Goo Goo! Goo goo gah gah! Hah Hah Hah!"

Hahahaha! Then eventually, Myk with Mark and Dale arrived. Once Patch and Jessel got there, we left for Kat. Me and Myk are in a convoy.

Brace yourself for Malas #2! Haha!

Since I don't know the way to Kat's house, Che is directing the route. Once we got near Binondo na, we were supposed to turn left somewhere there. Eh there seemed to be a miscommunication between Che and Kat, we turned on the wrong alley! A ONE-WAY ZONE!

And the worse part is, may POLICE CAR (complete with siren and all) na nakasunod sa amin! As in police, hindi MMDA! Haha! So there goes my, and Myk's, license!

So we went down the car and went to the police car. Che and Pilep was with me. Since I forgot my wallet, I went back to the car to get it. Once I came back, it was all good now! Pilep already had our licenses and the police is bidding us goodbye! Wow! It turns out, Che and Kat (via cellphone) talked to the police. Until now, I don't know what they said to the police for them to let us go. Iba talaga powers ng mga SINNERS! Haha!

BTW, Myk bumped into a van during this time! MALAS talaga namin noh! Haha! He paid the old man (owner of the van) 300 bucks. Actually, sira sira na yung van eh.. parang binibintang niya lang na si Myk yung nag dent ng car niya. Kupal.

So yun, we finally got to Kat's house! But wait, it's not over yet! It's time for the 3rd and final (ultimate) misfortune! Brace yourself for Malas #3!

While I was parking the car, the engine suddenly gave out! A heap of smoke then crept out from the hood of the car! Then, a gush of water came out under the car! During this time, it was only Pilep and I inside the car. After seeing the thick smoke, Pilep and I paused for a while. Then I shouted: "Pilep labas!!!" Hahahaha!

Akala ko sasabog yung kotse eh! Haha! After a while, we decided to leave it for a while there. Swerte lang talaga na sa mismong parking slot bumigay yung car. Haaaay! Knowing that we can't do anything at this time yet, we went up to Kat's party.

KAT'S PARTY


Finally, we got to the party! It's Kat's 19th Birthday. If you remember, we got to know Kat because she's one of Che's kabarkada (SINS) from DLSU. She went with us to Puerto Galera and she also became close to our barkada along the way. :)

So, there were all of Kat's closest friends: her HS barkada, College barkada (SINS), Bakal (w/o Oninz and Donna), and her boylets! Hahaha!

So yun... kainan, inuman, games! It was all good. Siyempre at first, hindi pa ako masyado comfortable kasi hindi ko pa alam yung definite damage nung kotse. I was still kinda nervous.

After they had the game (pulboron eating/drink up contest and another game which is something like 'Trip to Jerusalem', but with guys sitting on the chair with a peeled Banana place between their legs... and the girls, going around, have to grab a guy's banana once the music stops! hahahaha! thanks to Pilep for that lewd game! hahaha!), Myk together with Maki and Pilep, accompanied me back to the car to check it out. While we're at it, a barangay tanod approached us and asked what the problem is. He went back at the alley and came back with several guys. They helped me figure out what was wrong with the car. Turns out, the RADIATOR HOSE gave in and broke! So naubos yung tubig ng radiator! Haaay! At least it wasn't as serious as I thought it was at first! ;p

After thanking the kind people, we went back to Kat's party! ;p

By this time, most of Kat's friends are leaving na. Eventually, it was only us (Bakal) and Raymund (their friend from DLSU) there. Videoke, kainan, beer bong (my favorite for the night! ;p), dedications/message for Kat, kwentuhan. It was all good. :)

Myk and Dale left earlier. After a while, we left na rin because Mark's mom is not feeling well and walang kasama sa house ngayon. Since the car is broken, we went home via a taxi cab. I eventually spent the night in Pilep's house (actually nag Tekken na naman kami! yeah, adik! haha!)

The next morning, my mom (together with a mechanic, a family friend of ours) fetch me and Pilep. We went back to Binondo to fix the car. After getting the car up and running, I gave Pilep a ride to Che's house, and then went home. :)

CONCLUSION

*Yeah, it was an unlucky AND also a lucky day at the same time. Why?
1. Even though I got caught twice (Dangwa by the MMDA, and then by the Binondo Police because of entering a one way zone), I got past both. Yung una, nadaan sa "pakiusap", yung pangalawa naman dahil sa magic ni Kat and Che! Haha!
2. When the car broke down, I really thought it was a MAJOR damage because of all that smoke that came from the hood. At first, I was thinking the engine went pffft or something. Then Myk assured me it might be the radiator since the water gushed out from the car. Thankfully, it was just the radiator hose... a minor problem. :)
3. Another thing regarding the car breakdown is that, the car brokedown right at the parking lot! Talk about luck! Just imagine if it brokedown right in the middle of the road while in traffic! ;p
4. I was also very lucky because the people in Kat's area are ALL relatively nice! I was awed on how all of them are kind enough to give a helping hand. They're the ones who were able to figure out the car's damage. Then, they let me leave the car there with the assurance it is safe. Then the next morning, another guy.. an old man who was the owner of a shop in front of where I parked, helped us on fixing the car. He was kind enough to let my mom borrow a chair, an umbrella, and give us water for the car. He even let us park in front of their garage, which is a no parking zone. Next time I see Kat, I'll tell her how wonderful those people in her area are. :)

*Besides all the "misfortunes" that day, I still had the sense to enjoy the night at Kat's party. I had fun with all the inuman, kainan, kwentuhan. Hindi na rin kasi namin masyado nakakasama si Kat (hmmph, dami kasing boylets, kinalimutan na kami! ;p), so it was nice to see her again and enjoy her company. :)

Work in Progress

Right now, I would like to apologize to anyone whom I wronged in one way or another. I'm usually a good natured person, but time and recent experiences wasn't so nice to me. Like, I had to mingle with stupid and unreliable people in the past. I also felt betrayed by mentors whom I had the utmost respect before.

All that probably made my temper REALLY short. I say really hurtful words when I'm really annoyed or pissed off. So I apologize to the guys I lashed out on. But with all this, you must realize that you also did wrong. I wouldn't be insulting or lashing the fuck out of you if you didn't deserve it.

So what I'm trying to say here is that I'm a work in progress. I was a VERY timid person before, RARELY getting mad or whatever. Then bullshits happened, which in turn made me a short tempered person with a sharp tongue (thank god I'm not violent physically).

Now, I'm trying to balance it.

So there, please bear with me. I'm a work in progress.

Ok, I had it. My patience has reached it's limit. I tried to be kind, gentle, and understanding... but I guess unreliable persons will always be unreliable. I gave them a shot eh... pero wala talaga. Pulpol!

I won't reach out for these kinds of people again. Bahala kayo sa buhay niyo.

Edison Chen Scandal

I'm gonna share some NEWS which I've been following these past couple of weeks.

For those who actually know a thing or two about the Hong Kong showbiz industry, then you've probably heard of this celebrity named Edison Chen.

Thing is, he's involved in a VERY big scandal!

This shit is currently the hottest NEWS in Hong Kong. Apparently, Edison Chen have pictures of him and his GFs (past and present), in various state of undress and compromising sexual acts, stored in his computer. Problem is, it leaked out and are all over the interwebz right now. ;p

Purportedly, Edison Chen had his pink Apple notebook fixed in a Computer repair company. So the repairmen probably hacked into his computer and stole all those data. And as the NEWS said, there OVER 1300 pictures that was stolen from him.

The biggest twist is, these girls are not just ordinary girls. They are also big name celebrities from Hong Kong. The leaked pictures consisted of Gillian Chung, Cecilia Cheung (married to Nicholas Tse, Edison's close friend!), Bobo Chan, etc.

It was also said that there are pictures of Maggie Q!!!! Yeah, this Edison fellow and her were an item back then before Maggie Q went Hollywood! ;p

That girl in the bottom is Edison Chen's current victim girlfriend, Vincy Yeung. She is the niece of the CEO of the EEG Corporation, one of HK's most prominent showbiz talent company. She also had a couple of nude pics taken by Edison which leaked! And guess what: she was just 16 years old when it was taken (she's 18 now)!

And the saddest part regarding Edison is, Vincy's family have strong ties to the Chinese mafia/Triad. I won't be surprised if I suddenly hear that Edison Chen is dead.

And of course, all these are courtesy of a guy who calls himself "Kira". He's the guy who's been releasing these pictures all this time. He seems to be challenging the HK police to catch him if they can.

Personally, I think Edison Chen is sick. Yeah, I know that it's not illegal to take pictures of yourself in the nude/during sex for your own private pleasure. But I just DON'T get it! What do people like Edison find amusing in taking their own pics in the nude or during sex? Is that some kind of fetish or something?

Anyways, I don't blame him. I guess that's human nature. His only problem is, he's so stupid enough to have it leaked into the public. Now, not only is his reputation tarnished, he also destroyed the lives of those girls she took pictures of. Not that they're saints (they've all consented to have their pics taken!).

Anyhoo, to celebrate Edison's stupidity, here's a video of him dancing like a screw head.

badtrip! haha! ;p

These past few weeks, every Friday I was on NKTI (National Kidney Transplant Institute) tending on my dad's medication. He gets nerve injections on his leg. Every session is on the Wound Care Department of Dr. Quintos.

Now, bakit "badtrip" yung title? Hahaha!

Kasi, sa Wound Care... there's this nurse that I have a crush on. Nyahahaha! Well, really, she's not that pretty. She's just cute and I just love those big round eyes she have! So cute!! Haha.

I was actually looking at her name tag to see her full name. I didn't really see her FULL name 'cause I was looking through my peripheral vision! Haha! Her name, if I remember correctly, was something like 'Maria Khristina". I forgot the last name. It was long and very spanish. So let's just refer to her as "Cute Nurse". Haha!

So yun, every Friday I'm there, I always see her. Then for this Friday, my mom came with us kasi gusto niya makausap si Dr. Quintos. It happened, wala pala si Doc... the doctor instead, binilin nalang sa mga nurses yung injection ni papa.

And guess what, kay Cute Nurse niya binilin! Hehe! (She happens to be the Head Nurse there)

So when it was our turn na, I sat in the chair near my mom. Then to my surprise, the cute nurse sat beside me and said: "Tabi tayo" (in a sweet and cute voice, mind you! haha!).

Then the shit happened: my mom suddenly asked me (at almost the same time the nurse sat beside me) to go upstairs at the doctor's office and fix my dad's account!!! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Hahahaha!

I ended up telling the nurse: "Um, excuse me lang.. labas lang ako.. " (in an equally pa-cute voice! haha)

Shiiit!! Haha! Sayang noh.. chance for small talk na sana yun! ;p

By the time I came back, she finished working on my dad's foot. :(

When I came back, I was like "Tapos na!?" Lol! ;p

Sayang talaga.. si mama kasi contra-bida! Haha! Oh well, there's still next Friday... the fourth and final session! ;p

Why, it's no other than House Speaker Jose De Venecia!!! LOL!

JDV was ousted yesterday from his position as house speaker, and was replaced by Prospero Nograles.

JDV was fuming mad yesterday when he gave his farewell speech. He mentioned things like how the President (and the Malacanang) is corrupt, and that this is an outcry, and yada yada! Hahaha!

Well you know what, BAKIT NGAYON KA LANG NAGSASALITA!? Ngayon kung kailang ka lang natanggal!

How pathetic. Now I don't have anything against JDV. I hate him as much as I hate the "corrupt" Malacanang and the Arroyo regime. What gets my ire is that he is a sour grape. If he was really bent on exposing the government's corruption, he should have done it long before. Truly pathetic. And this guy almost became the country's president.

His son, Joey De Venecia, who exposed the ZTE Broadband scam is far more respectable IMO. At least he was firm in his stand right from day one.

So JDV, goodluck on your bid on becoming the 'Chavit Singson' of Arroyo. I'll be watching (and laughing) at the sideline.

Pasinaya 2008: The CCP Open House Festival

I just got home from the CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines). I went there to fetch my mother and watch the PASINAYA festival.

Rewind to this morning- When I woke up, the people here told me that my mom already left. After a while, she called me. Nasa Tagaytay raw siya... eh that was already 1pm so I thought hindi na tuloy (since Pasinaya will start at 3pm). Usapan nalang, I would just fetch her at the CCP.

I myself got into a traffic jam (on a Sunday!?!?!) and got there around 3:30pm na... and much to my surprise, my mom is already there. So we just went in and watch! ;p

PASINAYA Festival offered different performances, and what we watched was the main event/show: "Galaw, Galaw, Galawgaw!". I actually had a lot of fun!

The show featured different dances. I think ALL the different kinds of dances were covered. There were the Philippine Folk Dances, Jazz Dances (Rix should've came along!), Ballroom Dances, Expressive Dances (with a guy with nothing on but a brief! haha!), HipHop Dances (featuring the pinoy All-Star group! damn they are good! no wonder they're popular!), and Ballet Dances (featuring the living legend Lisa Macuja-Elizalde!).

During Ms. Macuja's Ballet performance, I actually shed a tear! She was soooooo good! So graceful! I'm actually awed by her since this is the first time I saw her perform live! Sorry mababa lang talaga ang luha ko! ;p

All in all, I had fun! It was a fun and quality show. My only gripe is the audience. The place was jam-packed! It would've been OK if they were all just ART loving peeps, but NO... they were mostly HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS!!! It's like a field trip or something. Grabe! As in ang ingay!

Most of them don't know proper etiquettes when watching these kind of shows. I'm not being snobbish, or "feeling", here... but I must say common sense naman yung mga proper etiquettes like: DON'T SCREAM!!!! (nagtitilian yung mga babae at bading while the guy in briefs was dancing.. kakahiya kayo), SHUT THE FUCK UP! (quit babbling like you're in a wet market!), SEAT AT YOUR DESIGNATED SEATS (yes you have seat numbers, people... its indicated in your tickets!), and TURN OFF YOUR CELLPHONES (the schmuck beside me was actually USING it during the performance.. with the lights all turned off! so just imagine how ticked I was kasi nakakadistract yung backlights ng phone niya!).

I was like: "Hello! We're in the CCP, people! We're not inside an SM Movie House!". ;p

Anywho, I had a good time. I love watching musicals/plays/performances, much so in the CCP. I remember during College, I watched a lot of them. My mom always get free tickets to the CCP's shows because of her position, and because of the fact that she's good friends with the CCP President.

So the next time she get tickets, count me in! ;p

Jem's Birthday Bash

Jeimie celebrated held her birthday bash last Friday at her house. And what a blast it was! :)

At long last, we're finally almost complete again! The only one missing this time is Pay (who also had her birthday last February 2) and Donna (thesis woes... valid reason.. haha)!!! Pay Noblefranca!!! Grrrr to you if you're reading this! LOL! ;p

With the exception of Pay and Donna, everyone else from our barkada is there: the birthday girl Jem, Drey, Armand (Drey's bro), Ed, Leslie, Mark, Oninz, Dale, Dom, Jeff, Pilep, Che, Myk, and me!

Highlights of the party:

-Mandz' cocktail mixes! He's taking up HRIM in UST, and I was surprised how good he was in mixing up drinks. He whipped up a couple of 'Submarine', 'Blowjob', and 'Brain Tumor' drinks. I was actually surprised when he told me that UST actually teach students how to mix up alcoholic drinks... and make them drink it... INSIDE THE CLASSROOM! Wow! I should have taken up HRIM instead of Computer Science! Hahaha! ;p
-Videoke night... even if I didn't sing! Sorry, I don't sing when I'm not drunk! Hahaha! *Didn't drink too much 'cause I brought a car.
-Tekken Night (na naman!?)! Mukhang bibili na talaga si Ed ng PSP! Adik eh! Haha!
-As usual, camwhoring! Ito na ata ang pinaka malaking influence ni Che sa Bakal! ;p
-Soulja Boy! Hahahaha! This is by far the dumbest shit ever but it was memorable that night because we we're all making fun of it! Haha! Just wait for my hate/rant blog regarding the stupid 'Crank That' by the equally stupid Soulja Boy! Haha!
-But the biggest highlight for me is being with my friends. This is as COMPLETE as we can get in a get together (with the exception of Pay), and I enjoyed it immensely. I love talking to all of them again. I really missed Jem and Drey. :)






+++Hey Che! If you're reading this, plan mo na yung next gimmick (after Kat's celebration). Canceled na yung Hooters di ba? So, movie night AND/OR Eastwood?!

Wow! To all my fellow Lakers fans, we'll no longer have to deal with the fact that Kwame Brown is on our team!!! Kwame has been traded to the Memphis Grizzlies... FOR PAU GASOL!!! Yes, Pau "the 2002 NBA rookie of the year, 2006 NBA all star, and 2006 FIBA MVP" Gasol! Damn right the Lakers are now a contender!
