Passport Renewal

This one's a bitch. Haha! Pagod-pagod ako nito. ;p

Ever since last December, Verg and I decided to renew our passports when January comes. True to our words, we did went for it last January 8.

It was a Thursday and my car was in coding day. Verg told me to go early nalang since we need to use my car since his car is kinda wobbly that time (he just changed his tire mags and hindi pa pantay sa tires niya).

So as early as 5pm, andun na ako sa house ni Richard (in Pasig). Once we reached Verg, change of plans daw! Gamitin nalang daw namin yung car niya since baka raw abutan ng coding.

And hindi na raw kami sa DFA mag-paparenew... sa "kakilala" nalang daw ni Karen (Verg's gf). It was ok for me at first. Then off we go.

Once we got to the "kakilala ni Karen", it turned out that it was an travel agency! And they were charging us for freaking 1,800php for a passport renewal!

Once Verg told me that it was 1,800php, I couldn't help but blurt something out aloud! I exclaimed, "1,800php! Eh 750php lang yun ah!"... ALOUD... inside the car... with the four of us inside! Hahaha!

Then Richard there remarked that ganon na raw talaga ang price kasi nagpa-renew rin siya last December. Pinagtanong niya pa raw sa DFA. (Turns out, Richard also went through an agency for his own renewal! hahaha!)

Still skeptical, I called up my mom and told her about it. Apparently, she had exactly the same remark as I did! Haha! She was so pissed that she called me back just to tell me na pumunta na raw kami directly sa DFA and use her connections.

Actually, my mom and I were arguing even before I left in the morning. Bakit raw kasi biglaan and why I was having my passport renewed that day without telling her in advance. She could have arranged that for us daw.

So I told Verg about it. I told him na its ONLY 750php! The agency charges 1,800 because they are agencies... they fix everything na. Well since we had connections and wala nang pila pila, why make use of a freaking agency, right?

And so we went to DFA, called up my mom's connection, went up the office... and after 30 mins, we're done.

The catch lang, they made us return immediately the next day for the personal appearance. Matutuwa ka kasi ang bilis ng processing because of the connection, right? I mean, immediately the next day na kaagad ung appearance.

...but the catch is, the next day is the NAZARENO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since its already 2pm, aabutan na ako ng coding if ever I decided to go home, so nagpalipas nalang ako. Richard told us about a great restaurant near Rockwell. The restaurant is SOMS. They specialize on Thai foods. And yes, masarap nga yung food! ;p

After I got home later that night, I was soooo tired. I was so tired but I still needed to do something (which I can't remember now) that kept me from getting sleep.

Jump to the next day.

I left the house around 5:30am. I got to Pasig around 8am na! Grabe na ang traffic along Edsa! Once I got to Verg, he proceeded to drive my car nalang as I took a nap in the back seat. Wading through the traffic, we got to DFA around 10am. It's funny though that once we got there, they called out our names! Sakto! Haha!

And after a while, finally, we were done. We decided to use LBC delivery to deliver our passports in my house nalang kesa balikan pa namin.

After DFA, we went to SM Mall of Asia. Its been a long time when I last went here. Naaliw ako sa parking lot nila. They have those light sensors where the green light turns red once a car parks over a slot. This is great as you can immediately locate a parking space by just looking for a green light.

Looking around for a restaurant to eat in, we stumbled at Fully Booked. I saw a copy of Twilight, which my sister is looking for but can't since its out of stock all over, and bought it.

Ang bait ko talagang kapatid. (self plugging.. haha!)

The two decided to eat in Wendy's wherein I skipped the meal and just slept while they eat (yes, I'm THAT tired). They woke me up after they finished eating. I just bought some burger nalang to eat, while we decided to take the free tour ride around MOA! Hahaha!

After that, we left and went to Greenhills naman (just to pass the time). And yes, tulog na naman ako sa back seat. Haha! We went to GH to canvass for cellphones. I'm planning to buy a Motorola Razr2 V9, while Richard was looking for a Nokia 5800.

Along that time, I received a message from Che that the movie night was moved to that night instead of Saturday so that most could come. And before I could text people for details, I ran out of battery! Shit!

And it was already 8pm na when we're still waiting for Verg's GF to finish her duties in the clinic. It was my car we're using so I just can't tell them to get out because I needed to go. Haha!

And when I got to leave, it was already 8:30pm. Verg let me borrow his car phone charger but it was useless because it didn't work for my phone! And the traffic in Ortigas was a killer! Instead of going out via Shangri-la, I went around Ortigas and went out through the Galleria exit to the highway. Grabe traffic! Once I got a little leeway, I immediately sped just to reach Trinoma as soon as possible!

First thing I did was run (yes RUN, literally) to Burger King where there's that cellphone charger. There was some phone using the Nokia charger which I rudely disconnected, and plugged my own phone! Haha! And thank god I got Che's reply as soon as possible. I finally caught up with the gang on the top floor where they're having dinner.

There was Drey, Jem, Pilep, Che, Donna, Dale, and Myk (who arrived later than me). While waiting for the movie, we decided to go to Time Zone to play some games and saw that fabulous gay host, John "Sweet" Lapus. Hahaha!

Then off we go to the movies! We decided to watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which is a VERY good film! I ended up watching it for a second time, with my mom and sis. Expect a review soon! ;p

...so there! That ends my stressful passport renewal. It wouldn't be so hard if it isn't for botched plans (agency instead of DFA-then DFA nalang talaga, making me bring my car on coding day) and the Nazareno for the appearance day (SUPER TRAFFIC man!). :D

aderobles, adorables, aderobles, adorables

It always amused me that Ade's name can almost be an anagram for ADORABLE. Hahaha! ;p

Ade was not able to go to the Christmas/New Year party so Che decided to meet her in RP the next week. I was supposed to go to UST to fix things but decided to go with my Play-mates nalang! Hahaha!

And so I went to Robinson's Place... at muntik pa akong mawala! Haha! Bobo talaga ako when it comes to directions. ;p

I didn't bring a car kasi hindi ko kabisado yung pasikot-sikot along P. Faura so I just took an FX towards there. And its been a while since I last went here, and to me, the place seems so big that I always tend to get lost.

So I proceeded to walk around while trying to contact Che and Ade. It was when I got to the 2nd floor when Che and Ade called me on the phone. Nasa National Bookstore daw sila. I told them to go fetch me nalang kasi hindi ko kabisado yung place. When I leaned to rest myself on the railing, nasa baba na pala yung National Bookstore! Haha! After a while, I saw them go up the escalator.

It was great to see Ade again. It was a long time when I last saw her. :)

And aside from meeting my Play-mates, there was another agenda... to buy the infamous Accupleasure from Humor Post. It's a head massage device that looks like a pambati ng itlog! Hahaha! Che gave one as an exchange gift at naaliw ako. I wanted to buy one pero laging out of stock, so I decided to try my luck to find one here in RP (coz Che bought her's from here). Too bad, out of stock din! Haha!

Anyhoo, we decided to get something to eat. I actually forgot where we went to eat! Haha! It's either Teriyaki Boy or Karate Kid! Haha! (It's Teriyaki Boy, I just confirmed! Hahaha!) And over food, of course kwentuhan galore. This time we get to hear Ade's side of the story.

While eating, Che was texting Pilep. Susunod raw si Pilep since hapon pa raw yung pasok niya, eh kaso 1pm na yun so alanganin na. What to do? Of course SICK LEAVE! Kaya nga may sick leave eh, para gamitin! Hahaha! Idol ko talaga si koya! Haha! ;p

After a while, dumating na rin si Pilep. We met with him at Wham! Burger. Kups yung crew at medyo mabagal so Pilep decided not to order anymore, so lakad lakad nalang. (Actually, kumain si Pilep pero hindi ko na matandaan ngayon.. shet.. my memory is failing naaaaaa).

After a while, we went to DQ! Ice cream, libre ni Ade! Yehey! Hahaha! The funny thing was, every time Che was going to take a picture of Ade in the counter, the waiter is posing too! Hahaha! Yung nag todo pose yung waiter sa huli, hindi na kinunan ni Che! Hahahaha!

After that, we went to Time Zone to play some games. This time, libre ni Pilep! Yehey! Hahahahaha! ;p

I played against Che on a game of Air Hockey... shet talo ako! Haha! (Actually, pinagbigyan ko lang. Kawawa eh. Shinoot ko nalang yung puck sa sarili kong goal para manalo siya.. tsk tsk.. haha!)

Then Pilep and Ade played next, which Pilep won. Also played Basketball and a game of Deal or No Deal! Haha!

They wanted to watch a movie but I can't go since I need to go home early. I was tasked to help my uncle to paint our metal fence so I needed to go home. They decided to go narin and so we all left.

wireless connection

I figured that it's about time we went wireless, regarding the internet connection here at home.

For a while now, I was using a SUPER long telephone wire to connect the telephone line to wherever the fuck my computer was located in the house. Haha! And since that wire was omnipresent the whole time, people were getting tripped. And so we decided to buy a wireless internet router.

I finally bought one in Trinoma. I was planning to buy a much lower quality china made router but my mom told me to buy the Linksys one. Well, she has a point of getting something of much higher quality para tumagal naman. Haha.

Imagine my surprise na wala palang kasama receiver yung router. Yes I get to receive connections with laptops and my PSP, but that leaves my desktop PC a little bit lonely! Haha! And so I needed an internet wi-fi receiver for the desktop. Off to Greenhills.

Along with my uncle Jerry, we went to Greenhills for the router. My uncle wanted to look for accessories for his laptop so he tagged along.

I asked around for the original Linksys wi-fi receiver and mahal siya! Almost 1,500 pesos. The next cheapest one I saw was 1,200php. That is until I got to CD-R King... 600 pesos! Hahaha! The only thing that made me consider was if I would risk buying a CD-R King accessory (which is highly defective or easily broken based on my history with them). What the heck, binili ko nalang. Haha!

After my uncle bought his laptop needs, we were done shopping. He treated me to a lunch in Greenwich for teaching him stuffs about computer and internet usage. ;p

Back at home, I immediately connected my recently bought CD-R King wi-fi receiver. I breathed a sigh of relief when I got it to work! Hahahaha! ;p

At long last, our house is a wi-fi zone with super duper firewall passwords and shit. Haha. Goodbye to that annoying telephone wire lying around the house, and hooray for me being able to use the laptop and PSP inside my room for internet purposes! ;)

Some notes:
*I finally found that GI Joe figure I was looking for! The rare silver masked Destro! It was being sold at 800php (last price of 600php). I was REALLY so tempted to buy it on the spot. But then, my uncle snapped me out of it. But nalang at nandun siya kung hindi, sure kong binili yun... which I shouldn't since I needed money for other more important things during those times. ;p
*On the way to GH, I drove through Kalentong. Grabe ang trapik! Yun pala nasunog yung isang mall dun. Sabi nila, sumabog raw yung mga paputok kasi may nag yosi or something. tsk tsk.

A Very BAKAL Christmas/New Year Party

Wow, it finally happened. Hahaha! After much planning since December, the supposes Christmas get together with the gang almost never happened because hindi magkasundo sa schedule. Haha. Thank god, most of the gang found time to make it happen last January 3.

It was fun. The gimik this time is that we'll eat dinner at Tong Yang (Q.Ave) then proceed to Pilep's house for a costume party.

Yes, a costume party! Haha!

So dinner time, for some reasons I can't remember that much anymore, I was late. I remember getting to Tong Yang na nandun na sila lahat (except for Dale who is a primadonna as usual! hahaha). The food was great! Last time I got to eat here, I think its almost 3-4 years ago? Getting food from the gallery, then cooking it yourself, never gets old! Haha.

After eating our money's worth, we started going off to Pilep. Kitakits nalang daw sa house so we went our separate ways. Dale and I stayed behind to eat more ice cream while the others left na. Haha.

Finally, we proceeded to Pilep. Costume party time! Hahaha!

The theme raw should be ROCK. Punk rock, metal rock, glam rock... putek, basta rock! Haha!

And surprisingly, all of us took it seriously naman and we all dressed up. Akala ko kasi may mga mag-KJ pero lahat pala game! Haha! ;p

So Drey, the "award-winning photographer", took the helm in taking everyone's picture. Haha. Before and after shots were made. Then a couple of group pics and all. It was fun!!! ;p

For me, I tried to go for an 80's rock look complete with black sando, a black leather vest, and some eye-liners... I think I ended up looking like J-Rock or something. Haha! The others really dressed up! Jem and Drey went for punk rock. Pilep with his Grease inspired look! Haha! Che complete with mini skirt and skulls went for punk rock, as well as Donna. Joy, I think, went for pop rock. Dale daw went for the Bon Jovi look... complete with a neck bandana! Hahahaha!

And Oninz? Oninz went for fucking disco inferno! Hahahahaha! Burn baby burn!! Hahahaha!

The pictures were great. The gang actually agreed for a next themed party. Haha.

Of course, hindi mawawala ang videoke. Haha. Then yung DARES! Hahaha! Thanks to Che for reminding me about this one! Haha! Che planned a DARE game (nde "truth or dare" kasi wala ka talagang choice kung hindi bumunot ng dares! hahaha!). Since Ed, Mark, and Ade couldn't come to the party, they were tasked to think of the dares! And grabe talaga yung ibang inisip nila! Haha! There were those mild ones like hop backwards while singing (me), draw a unibrow on someone (me on drey! haha), draw a moustache (jem on oninz! haha).. then a few hard ones like doing a handstand (donna!? with a special kick on che! hahaha!). And finally, the naughty ones: put a hicky on your partner, and torrid kissing! Both by Pilep and Che!! Wahahahahaha!!!! (Che, post ko yung mga videos dito ah! Hahaha!)

And that's not all. Via webcam, Mark and Ed were present, watching the whole thing! They even did a special dare... lick the ice cream of your partner's ear! Hahaha! Saludo ako sa dalawang yun.. mga dakilang BAKLA BOYS talaga. Haha! ;p

After the pictures and all, we played STEALING SANTA. An exchange gift game proposed by Jem. The mechanics is that players pick gifts. Thing is, other players can "steal" gifts already chosen by the previous player. Haha. The twist is that a gift can only be stolen three times, so the person who steals a gift for the third time gets to keep it na! Haha!

And Dale strikes again! Haha! Hindi bumili ng gift ang loko... mamaya, may pinasang photo album! Hahaha! Everyone was avoiding that album until the end of the game! Hahaha! The unlucky person who got it though was Che! Hahaha!

Mamaya, Che decided to check the album---putek, may pictures na!!! Hahahaha! First thing that came to mind was, baka kinuha lang ni Dale yun sa house niya--like it belonged to her mom or siblings. Upon closer inspection... putek, mommy ni Pilep!!! Hahahaha! Kinuha lang pala yun ni Dale dun lang sa house ni Pilep! Hahahaha!

Alang hiya ka talaga nigga, ibang klase ka talaga! Hahahahaha!

Anyways, he promised Che naman to give her a proper exchange gift next time... haha!

As for me, I got a very nice portable water fountain vase courtesy of Pilep. Funny that I was looking at one the last time I went to the mall. Yun pala ito ang "mananakaw" ko sa exchange gift! Nice!! Hahahaha!

After a while, we decided to relax a little. We ordered Jollibee meals. While the others decided to stay in the balcony and talk, Dale and I watched WANTED inside the house.

Around 6am, we all left na. :)

*Oninz gave us his pasalubong from Japan. He went to Japan kasi as part of his work in Fujitsu. He gave me a Monster Hunter figure which I really, REALLY like! It's actually standing here in my room right beside the TV! Haha!
*Almost everyone was present: Pilep, Che, Dale, Oninz, Joy, Donna, Drey, Jem, and me. Heck, even Ed and Mark were present via laptop webcam! Hahaha!
*Myk couldn't come kasi medyo marami siyang pinagdaanan last Christmas daw! Haha! Possibly Myk's worst Christmas ever? Hahaha!
*Dom was supposedly coming but didn't make it. I just spoke to her today and may valid reason naman pala. ;p
*Ade couldn't come because of some circumstances. ;p

paint the grills

So my mom wanted to repaint our bakod grills. Kalawang na kasi since hindi na na-maintain ever since. He tasked me and Tito Jerry to do the job. Madali lang naman kasi.

You just start off by chipping the rusts away by using a metal brush. After that, you coat those rusted metal parts with a primer paint--this will keep the metal from rusting again (this is very important). After coating the metal with primer, you proceed with the paint job.

Medyo nakakahiya lang kay Tito Jer since I was so busy the first week of 2009. I only got to help during the start, and the end, grills. Medyo marami kasi akong nilakad.

How was my Christmas and New Year?

Nothing special really. For me, the whole holiday season felt like September to be honest. The anticipation is no where to be found. The excitement knowing Christmas is coming was none existent. Childish as it may sound--there was no Christmas spirit.

And so, Christmas and New Year felt like an ordinary day. It came and go.

My god, am I pathetic?

Anyways, the whole holiday, my uncle Jerry stayed over. He bought an Asus EEE PC (that small and affordable laptop). He was so enthusiastic about it that he always ask me questions about browsing the net. He's a big fan of Charice Pempengco, and he always used to browse YouTube for her videos everytime he stayed over. Now just imagine his enthusiasm having a laptop and watch those videos anytime he wants (i thought him how to rip videos from YouTube). Hehe.

It was fun teaching him though. I guess, in my part, its the feeling of being appreciated. :)

Ok, so I was out the whole day and right now I'm dead tired. Then maaga pa ako tomorrow since I'll be joining Richard and Verg during the morning, then watch the UST Chorale at CCP at night.

I should be sleeping for god's sake.

But as I entered my room, laid down, and hugged my favorite pillow... I can't seem to sleep. Bwiset. So ngayon, I took the laptop and just started typing again...

I think its time to continue that blog marathon. Haha!

TVJ with Verg and Richard

Actually, the only LSM barx I've retained are my buddies Verg and Richard. I love these two guys. We always make it a point to have movie days once in a while, and we never misses each others' birthdays.

This time, we opted to watch Iskul Bukol the Reunion! Hahahaha! I asked for them to watch nalang at Trinoma para gitna (since I'm from Fairview, and the two are based in Mandaluyong).

Usapan is 1pm pero I reached Trinoma around 2:30pm na! But wait, I have a great excuse! Haha! Actually, my mom sent me to an errand before I left for Trinoma. She asked me to buy a gasul tank since ours has ran out na. So thinking na may Petron lang just outside our subdivision, I proceeded immediately. Wala nang ligo-ligo... straight from the bed! I'm not even wearing any undies under my shorts! Hahaha! All this because of the thought na this one won't take so long.

And I was badly mistaken.

It's Christmas season and gasul tanks are in demand! When I reached the Petron just outside, out of stock raw. So ako, "Ok, meron pang Petron sa may San Mateo."

Grabe, wala rin sa San Mateo! Medyo worried na ako kasi 12pm na! So I decided to rush to Petron Commonwealth... grabe, on my way there, yung San Mateo road to Batasan na pataas... may traffic jam! For some unknown reason, cars weren't moving. This until some drivers decided to go back down the road in reverse! Grabe, parang end of the world (yea im exaggerating! hahaha! pero its still annoying). When I got out of the jam, I moved back down and into Filinvest. Went through it, and got out the other side. When I reached Petron Commonwealth, guess what... out of stock din.

All this until I got to Petron Philcoa na... and guess what......... meron na sila! Hahahaha! Akala niyo wala pa rin noh! Haha! Mag road rage na ako kung ganon! lol

So I immediately rode back home. I immediately took a bath and got dressed in like 10 minutes. My temper is actually hot na. Medyo napipikon na kasi ako dahil sa sinapit ko. And my ate even blurted out a snide remark. So medyo padabog ang exit ko ng garahe... with matching tire burns on the ground! Haha!

While I was going through the traffic, Verg and Richard kept on texting and calling na. Of course they have every right to be mad kasi ako na nga namili ng venue, ako pa yung late. I kept on texting while driving pa, which is not a good thing by the way. Bwiset pa at sobrang traffic sa Veterans near Trinoma na.

Eventually, I met up with them in one piece. It was Karen's (Verg's GF) so we all ate at Mann Hann on Verg's treat. Afterwards, we queued up on the long line of movie goers. We weren't able to get a 5pm showing so we opted nalang for a 7pm show.

All in all, the movie was ok. I was expecting more from Tito Sotto and Joey De Leon but they only seemed to have limited scenes... a pity since they had the funniest parts in the film! Haha! I would pay for a new Tito, Vic, and Joey film... just concentrate more on the trio and not on the supporting cast. Haha.

***And I realize that I spoke more about my Petron Gasul dillema more than the movie gimmick. lol

Day out with Rica

It's been a VERY long while since I last saw Rix. We also barely talked this past year. I think last I saw her was still last February. Lost in touch, I guess. She was busy with her work, and I was in my self-imposed "sabbatical" from society! Haha!

Anyhoo, she contacted me a night before and asked if I want to go shopping with her the next day. I had prior commitments before, but I thought: "Sayang naman, minsan nalang kami magkita ni Rix..."

And so I nag-confirm ako kay Rix! Haha!

Usapan namin is 11am at Trinoma. I panicked when I woke up late and its already 10:30am! So I rushed in the shower, and dressed up as fast as I can. When I started the car, it was Rix calling at the my phone! Panic ako! I thought she might already be in Trinoma na... and here I am, still starting my car and inching out the garage!

Shet.... yun pala kakagising palang ni rixbaby18! Hahahaha! Anak ng.. I still had all the time in the world! Haha! So I just drove around (hindi na ako nag stay sa house, baka mapahiya ako sa katulong... getting excited over nothing.. haha!).

After getting to Trinoma, I finally met up with Rix and her new china doll bangs hairstyle (wowowow wowowowow siiiing! lol jk). And to think, its been only the 2nd time we saw each other in the whole of 2008! ;p

We immediately went to our original destination: Greenhills. Kwentuhan galore on the way. I guess that's the greatest thing about Rix... you never run out of conversations. Haha.

And we opted to go to Greenhills since Rix is gonna buy presents for her family (wow, pwede bang magpa-ampon? haha). After buying a phone for her dad, clothes for her cousins, and searching for her brother's "sexy polo".. we went and had a late lunch in Mexicali (actually, my first meal for the day). Kwentuhan all those times, since we had a lot of catching up to do.

Afterward, we went straight back to shopping! This time, we are searching for things to buy for ourselves. At the least, I was able to buy a gift for her. And while browsing around, we saw a shirt with the print "Single ako!" and thought that it was funny. Haha. So I bought one for her, she bought one for me... and another for MYK! Hahaha! So pag lumabas daw kami, yun ang suot naming tatlo! Haha!

Another new thing I learned about Rica is that she now collects perfumes. We went around almost every fragrance stores in Shoppesville, naghahanap ng perfumes. I actually learned a lot. Nakakaaliw pa yung sales lady kasi lahat ng pinapaamoy namin sa kanya, alam niya kung anong scent... parang daga. Hahaha! ;p

After a while, we went to Starbucks. I thought it was still 7-8pm palang, 10pm na pala. Rix treated me a cup of frap and continued our ongoing kwentuhan. Eventually, we decided to stroll around one last time until all the stores are closing na. We decided to leave Greenhills.

On the way to Ortigas, out of the blue, nagkayayaan kami mag Tiendesitas! Haha! Pauwi na sana kami at mag-left na kami for Edsa Highway nang:

Me: Rix, gusto mo mag Tiendesitas? Okay din dun.
Rica: Tara!

Haha! Once we got there, ikot ikot kasi may Tiangge din. I was able to buy a Buddha printed box made in Thailand. And sorry sa tindera, barat ako! Haha.

Thinking that there was a live band and food stalls around, I thought why not eat na rin. I was a bit hungry that time narin since almost close to 12am na. Mali rin pala ung akala ko... actually, pasara na rin pala ang Tiendesitas ng 12am... dati kasi, akala ko mga 12am nagsisimula ang party dun. Haha. So we just sat at one table there and ordered a few pica-pica before the store closed.. at least something to tide us over during our kwentuhan.

After some time, we eventually decided to go home.

It was nice being with Rica's company again. I really enjoyed the kwentuhans just like old times. I guess I really miss my friends' company after all. :)

Here's hoping for more gimiks in the future! :)

Puerto Azul - Caysubic resort

Out of the blue, my mom asked me and my ate to take my dad to the beach! Unfitting since its December... its cold! But hey, I'm a good son so I agreed to come.

Puerto Azul in Cavite. It's been years since I last went here. Back when I was in highschool, we come here almost twice a month. My dad was a high ranking manager in Meralco and he had access to the Meralco vacation house here in Puerto Azul. Plus, my dad like to go on out of town trips.

Being as it is, I had very fond memories of Puerto Azul. Back then, it was bursting with life. Lots of people checking in, kids running around and taking a dip in the pool at the clubhouse, me ordering halo-halo at the bar. There's even different sections in Puerto Azul like an entertainment spot, a sports spot, etc. It was definitely a fun place to be.

And now? It's like a ghost town. The hotel closed down, the grasses devoured the old tennis courts which I used to play at, and the old busy buzz in the clubhouse is gone. Ghost town, that's what it is. The only reason that the place is still open is because of the Golf course which avid golfers still frequents too, it seems.

We checked in to Caysubic Beach anyway. It's a beach part of Puerto Azul which still have cabins for rent. Last time I was here, I was reading Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned. Surprisingly, the place is still open. But just like the whole of Puerto, its only a shadow of its old self. The place wasn't as maintained as it used to be, but its still good.

I actually still enjoyed the trip. It was probably the nostalgia. After we got into the room, we rest for a bit. I proceeded to stroll around the beach. It was actually tempting to swim, but it was freezing cold! My mom yanked me instead to go with her and hike around Puerto Azul. The scenery is still amazing. If only I had an DSLR cam, I would probably had a field day with that.

All in all, I feel pity for the place. It was actually a great place to invest at. I wonder why the owner left it to that though. Someone should just buy it and bring it back to its old glory.

Anyway, come night time, we learned that we're the only visitors that stayed overnight in the resort. So we practically had the whole resort to ourselves. Haha!

The place is actually a great barkada trip. Nice beach and all. And you got the whole place to yourself! ;p

...at oo, mahangin sa labas. hahaha!

blog update

Happy New Year! :)

Yeah, six days late... but I guess it's better late than never! ;p

About the blog, its time for another blog marathon! Yikes! Things will depend on my unreliable memory. lol. So bear with me... I'll try to recount the events...
